Zachary Salsberry is 13 years old and has been playing guitar since he was 5. His first tutor was the late Chris Anderson. He has also studied under Rick McGee, but more recently has worked with Mark Tuori of Newport News. Zachary has been a student at the Academy of Rock Music since 2009. He is in the 7th grade in the TAG program at Hines Middle School in Newport News. He loves watching and playing soccer and football, and he is constantly active. Zachary is a huge New England Patriots fan and follows the Swansea City Swans soccer team of the English Premier league. His favorite bands/performers are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Guns 'N' Roses, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, The Beatles and Ozzy Osbourne. He loves to play blues, classic rock and hard rock and is priviledged to be part of The UnXpected and included among such talented young musicians who have also become good friends. Zachary is learning to play the violin and performs in his school orchestra and also likes being creative on the keyboard at home.
